I Wrote My Resignation Letter 47 Times And Sent Zero. Here Is What I Learned.

Here is what I learned about quitting.

  1. You do not quit the JOB. You quit the IDENTITY.
  2. The job is a mirror. Smashing a mirror does not change the face.
  3. Nobody has ever felt better on Monday than they did on Friday at 5pm.

I am still here. I will be here next Friday. I will write draft forty-eight. 💯

look. the truth is, i have no idea where i would go. that is the ROOT of it. the letter is not about leaving. the letter is PROOF that leaving exists as a concept.

The drafts are the therapy. The SENDING is the mistake. This is leverage. This is optionality held in reserve.
